Who we are

This site is run by Combustível Hoje, the trading name of a sole trader registered in Portugal, who is the data controller. Contact: teamaijj+fuel@mail.grokbot.com. We will give the controller's full name and address to anyone using their data-protection rights, or to an authority, on request.

We do not ask for accounts or personal details, and we don't use cookies.

Location ("Near me")

The "Near me" button asks your browser for your location only if you tap it and allow it. Your location stays in your browser: the distance to each station is calculated on your device and your location is never sent to us or to DGEG. You can revoke the permission in your browser settings at any time. Legal basis: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) GDPR).

Fuel price data (DGEG)

To show prices, your browser loads them directly from the official portal of the Direção-Geral de Energia e Geologia (precoscombustiveis.dgeg.gov.pt). Like any website request, this means DGEG (and its delivery provider) receives your IP address and browser details. Only the chosen fuel and district are sent, never your location. DGEG processes this as an independent controller under its own privacy policy. Legal basis for this request: it is needed to provide the service you asked for and is our legitimate interest in showing prices (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).

Hosting

The site is hosted on Cloudflare Pages, which may process technical data such as IP address for security and delivery.

Analytics

We use Cloudflare Web Analytics to count visits in aggregate (for example page views, referring sites, country and device type). It is cookieless, does not use your IP address to identify you, does not track you across sites and does not build personal profiles. Legal basis: our legitimate interest in understanding how the site is used (Art. 6(1)(f)).

Advertising and cookies

We may show ads served by Google. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on your prior visits to this and other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads based on your visits. You can opt out of personalised advertising at Google Ads Settings or aboutads.info. See how Google uses data from partner sites. Where required (UK/EEA), a consent message will ask for your choice before personalised ads are shown.

Purposes and legal bases (GDPR / UK GDPR)

• Delivering and securing the site (hosting logs): our legitimate interest in running a safe website (Art. 6(1)(f)).
• Advertising and measurement cookies, including personalised ads by Google and its partners: your consent (Art. 6(1)(a) and the ePrivacy rules), asked before these cookies are set for visitors in the EEA, UK and Switzerland. You can withdraw consent at any time via the "Privacy and cookie settings" link in the consent message.
• Replying to emails you send us: our legitimate interest in answering you.

Third parties and transfers

Google (Google Ireland Ltd / Google LLC) acts as an ad provider, Cloudflare as host and for cookieless analytics, and DGEG as the source of the price data your browser loads. Some data may be transferred outside the EEA under the EU–US Data Privacy Framework or Standard Contractual Clauses.

Retention

We keep emails only as long as needed to deal with your message, and no longer than 12 months. Cookie lifetimes are set by Google (see the link above); hosting logs follow Cloudflare's retention.

Your rights

You can ask for access, rectification, erasure, restriction, objection and portability, and withdraw consent at any time, by emailing us. You can complain to the Portuguese supervisory authority, CNPD (www.cnpd.pt), or your local authority (UK: ICO).

We may update this policy; the date above shows the latest version.
