Fuel prices in Portugal today

Cheapest right now …

The 10 cheapest stations

Source: DGEG – Preços dos Combustíveis Online. Each price shows the date and time the station last updated it. Stations that haven't updated for over 30 days are left out of the ranking. Station and fuel names are shown as published (in Portuguese): Gasóleo simples = standard diesel, Gasolina simples 95 = standard unleaded 95, GPL Auto = autogas (LPG). Petrol 98 includes both 98 grades.

    How it works

Pick a fuel and a district (or tap Near me). Your browser loads the prices straight from DGEG's official portal, where every filling station in mainland Portugal must report its prices before applying them (Decree-Law 243/2008). We sort them cheapest first.

"Near me" only uses your location if you allow it, and the distance maths runs in your browser: your location is never sent to us.

    Questions people ask

Where do the prices come from?

From DGEG (Portugal's Directorate-General for Energy and Geology), which publishes the prices stations report. Each price shows when the station last updated it.

    Is gasóleo diesel?

Yes. Gasóleo is diesel, gasolina is petrol and GPL is LPG.

When do fuel prices change in Portugal?

Stations usually adjust prices on Mondays, but any station can change its price on any day.

Can I pay by card at Portuguese stations?

Most stations accept cards, but check at the station, especially at small or unstaffed ones.

    Are motorway stations dearer?

Often, yes. Compare the stations listed for your district on this page before you set off.

Does it cover Madeira and the Azores?

No. The DGEG reporting rule covers mainland Portugal; island prices are set by the regional governments.

The pump price is different. Why?

We show what the station reported to DGEG. Loyalty-card or app discounts aren't included. Always check the price at the pump.
